Scott Richardson, SPHR will present "Ethics - The Fabric of Business", part of the SHRM Foundation DVD Series. The video presentation is 20 minutes long and will be accompanied with a discussion guide and Powerpoint presentation. We will break up in groups and focus on some of the questions the discussion guide poses regarding ethics: why management buy-in is critical, how companies can build an ethical foundation, important aspects of effective ethics reporting systems, linking performance to ethical standards, and more.

Taylor B. Smith will be presenting some key issues that are currently taking place in the labor arena. He brings a half a century of experience in labor relations and employment law (we're not trying to make him sound old, just highly experienced...). If you are concerned about labor issues, proposed regulations, and maintaining compliance to the National Labor Relations Act and other labor laws, you won't want to miss this.

PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:

Lindsay will deliver his presentation entitled Generational Differences; What's the Big Deal? This presentation has been approved by HRCI for recertification credits under the Diversity and Inclusion competency.

Lindsay retired after 31 years as a Human Resources professional.  He is currently an Adjunct professor at Belhaven University teaching H.R. courses in the Master’s programs.

"Birds in the Workplace" is a humorous and motivational presentation about the different personality types in the work environment. This presentation has been submitted to HRCI for recertification credits. We will let you know once it has been approved.

Danny Avory, HR Consultant in Columbus will be joining us to present: "Becoming an Effective Strategic Partner" with overviews on Creative Problem Solving and Effective Decision Making.  Danny, an SPHR, has been a member of the Golden Triangle Human Resources Association for many years and has served on the MS State Council in the past.

BancorpSouth Insurance Services, Inc. and Andy Impastato, VP of Client Compliance, presents "What's Next for Health Care Reform."
