    NEMSHRA Membership

    The Northeast Mississippi Human Resource Association (NEMSHRA), chapter #196, is a progressive, professional organization devoted to the advancement of knowledge associated with the varied skills required to translate modern business requirements into effective, meaningful employer/employee relations. Our organization is affiliated with the Society of Human Resource Management which has over 250,000 members nationwide.

    Membership in NEMSHRA is open to those who are actively engaged in the Human Resources or Human Capital functions within their business. 

    Local monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month with the exceptioin of special programming which will be announced. The program at each meeting covers topics of interest to the group with speakers from government, private industry, and professional fields all with an intent to enrich our human resource knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Membership Dues

    Membership to NEMSHRA requires an active membership in the national Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).  SHRM National Members pay their dues to SHRM annually, and EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2024, our NEMSHRA Chapter membership will be $60 annually, and will be automatically added to your national dues at renewal time. If you would like to Join SHRM or Renew your membership, please click the links provided. When completing the application for National membership, remember to add Northeast MS HR Assn (NEMSHRA) Chapter #196 as the local chapter so that the Chapter will receive notice of your membership and be able to include you in its Chapter’s activities. SHRM members are eligible to vote and hold office in the local chapter. SHRM National Members may also be eligible to vote and hold office in SHRM.   To join our local chapter, click here .
