    Taylor B. Smith will be presenting some key issues that are currently taking place in the labor arena. He brings a half a century of experience in labor relations and employment law (we're not trying to make him sound old, just highly experienced...). If you are concerned about labor issues, proposed regulations, and maintaining compliance to the National Labor Relations Act and other labor laws, you won't want to miss this.

    PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:

    Mr. Smith is a resident member of the law firm at our Columbus, Mississippi office. Mr. Smith graduated with honors from Mississippi State University and thereafter, received a J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi. In law school, he served on the staff of the Mississippi Law Journal and additionally, was article editor for the Journal.

    Mr. Smith is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the American Academy of Hospital Attorneys, and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has spoken at numerous employment seminars. He is also listed in America's Leading Business Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America as one of the outstanding lawyers in the labor and employment field.

    He is listed as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in Mid-South Magazine and listed as one of only two lawyers in Mississippi as meriting the rating of “Star Individual” in Chambers and Partners well-known business ranking.

    He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, all courts in the state of Mississippi and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi.

    Mr. Smith has represented clients in various industries, including manufacturing, food processing, financial, banking, health care, telecommunications, media, retail and the restaurant and hotel/motel industry.
